Artist Collaboration Hub

DTLA Edition

Murals, exhibitions, and youth storytelling—powered by Majestic Art Gallery and ScholarShare 529.

Majestic Art Gallery partners with local artists and galleries to bring community stories to life through murals and exhibitions, while supporting families on their journey toward higher education savings.

DTLA serves as the epicenter, with collaborations extending into the Arts District and Boyle Heights as the program grows.

The Big Idea

Public art that lives in the streets—and in the gallery.

The Artist Collaboration Hub is a professional, community-rooted collaboration model where:

  • A local artist creates mural-based work inspired by youth and families in the surrounding neighborhood

  • A local gallery serves as the cultural hub, hosting and selling the original works

  • Majestic Art Gallery facilitates youth engagement, programming, and storytelling

  • Families are introduced to ScholarShare 529 as a simple, welcoming way to begin saving for higher education

Artwork is sold through the gallery using standard gallery practices. The gallery pays Majestic the commission on each sale, and Majestic shares that commission with the artist, while directing its portion of proceeds to help support education savings for participating youth and families.

This is not charity art. It is collectible, commissioned work grounded in real community narratives and supported by partners who believe art can move both culture and opportunity forward.

How it Works

Why DTLA

DTLA is where art, culture, education, and economic realities collide every day. It is home to:

  • Families navigating rising costs and limited access to financial tools

  • Artists shaping the visual identity of the city

  • Galleries that influence cultural dialogue beyond their walls

By centering DTLA, the Artist Collaboration Hub establishes a visible, replicable model that can expand naturally into the Arts District and Boyle Heights—neighborhoods with deep artistic legacy and strong community pride.
