Celebrating Our Partnership with Arizona State University: Empowering DTLA Youth Through Art and Education

ASU Local California Center Broadway

At Majestic Art Gallery, we're all about blending art, education, and community to create opportunities for Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) youth and families. Our collaboration with Arizona State University (ASU) has been a cornerstone in advancing this mission, bringing together our shared passions to make a meaningful impact.

A Unified Vision

ASU's dedication to community engagement and educational advancement aligns seamlessly with our goals. Their initiatives, such as the ASU-LACMA Master's Fellowship, aim to diversify museum leadership and promote inclusivity in art history. This shared vision has laid a strong foundation for our joint efforts in DTLA.

Showcasing Young Talent

Together, we've created platforms for young artists to express their creativity and share their unique perspectives. A notable example is the "Faces of Downtown" art show, hosted by ASU Local, which showcased self-portraits of young artists, celebrating the individuality, hope and resilience of our youth.

Educational Empowerment

Beyond art exhibitions, our partnership focuses on equipping families with resources to build educational wealth. By offering workshops and seminars on college savings plans and financial literacy, we aim to make higher education more accessible to DTLA families.

Inspiring Future Generations

Through our collaborative efforts, we strive to inspire a new generation to pursue higher education and realize their full potential. By combining art and education, we're working to create a brighter future for the youth of Downtown Los Angeles.
