Majestic Art Gallery Launches Art Hop, A New Family Art Experience in Downtown Los Angeles

Majestic Art Gallery is proud to introduce Art Hop, a new recurring program designed to bring families, creativity, and community together across Downtown Los Angeles.

Art Hop is a family-centered drawing experience that will pop up in parks, community spaces, and partner locations throughout DTLA on a bimonthly basis. Each gathering invites families and youth to take part in simple, theme-based art activities that reflect real conversations and everyday life in the communities we serve.

From identity and family to safety, green spaces, and the future of our city, each Art Hop creates space for participants to express themselves through drawing while connecting with others in a welcoming and accessible environment. No experience is needed, just a willingness to show up and create.

This new program builds on the foundation of Majestic Art Gallery’s Faces of Downtown exhibit, expanding opportunities for youth and families to engage with art in a way that feels consistent, approachable, and rooted in community.

Art Hop also plays an important role in advancing Majestic Art Gallery’s broader mission. Each event supports ongoing efforts to secure a permanent children’s art gallery and to launch a mobile art program that will bring creative opportunities directly into neighborhoods across Los Angeles.

“Art Hop is about creating a rhythm for families,” said Founder Lawrence Carroll. “A space where people can show up, be creative, and feel like they are part of something that belongs to them. We’re not just hosting events, we’re building something together.”

The first Art Hop will launch in April in celebration of Earth Day, with additional activations planned throughout the year in partnership with local organizations, parks, and community spaces across Downtown Los Angeles.
